Detox Bath: Soak, Relax & Refresh!

A warm Epsom salt and baking soda bath can be a relaxing addition to your self-care routine and may help you unwind and soothe tired muscles.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 lb. Epsom salt (approximately 2 cups)
  • 1 lb. baking soda (approximately 2 cups), such as Arm & Hammer
  • A bathtub filled with comfortably warm water

Directions

1.     Fill the bathtub with warm water—not excessively hot water.

2.     Add 1 lb. of Epsom salt (2 cups) and 1 lb. of baking soda (2 cups) to the bathwater.

3.     Stir the water gently until the ingredients are well dissolved.

4.     Soak for approximately 15–20 minutes and relax.

5.     Drink water before and during your bath to help maintain hydration.

6.     When you are finished, slowly get out of the tub to reduce the chance of feeling lightheaded or unsteady.
