Before You Start Your Journey!
We encourage you to read Pounds and Inches. Learning the basics for the original protocol will ensure that you have the best possible outcome for reaching and obtaining your weight loss goal. You will find other platforms who promote modified protocols and updated books which adventure away from the original protocol. We have worked with many peeps who followed Pounds and Inches and they were able to lose and maintain their weight loss. Why fix what’s not broken.
Getting Started Instructions
Phases
There are four phases in the Protocol. Phase 1 is prior to taking the drops and is considered a prep and cleansing time but is not required. Phase 2 includes loading days and the VLCD days. Phase 3 is the maintenance/stabilization phase for 21 days. Phase 4 is the Lifetime phase of the diet.
Detox
Some people complete a Liver Cleanse before starting the diet but it’s not a prerequisite. A detox can be beneficial depending on the body’s addiction to processed foods, carbohydrates, and sugar.
Detox baths are also useful before and during the diet. Here are the instructions for the Detox Bath. Pour 1 lb. of Epsom Salt into a very warm bath with 1 lb. baking soda. Soak in the tub with warm or hot water for at least 20 minutes. Don’t shower until next day. Let it stay on your body overnight for best cleansing effect to continue removing toxins. You may feel lightheaded, dizzy, weak and completely drained after a detox bath. We encouraged peeps to complete the bath at bedtime. It’s a symptom of weak adrenals. Make sure you drink water during your detox bath. You may also consume an orange. Detox baths are fine 3 or 4 times a week during the diet.
Dosage for Drops
You will use this dose for loading. 0.50 (3x) a day for the first 2 days and then increase to 0.75 (3x) a day on the third loading day. For VLCD days, the dose is 0.75 (3x) a day. Do not eat or drink anything for 10-15 minutes before or after you take the drops. Hold the drops under your tongue for 2-3 minutes and then swallow any residue. Your dose should be spread out at least 4 hours apart. If you have additional questions, use the contact button if the top of the page to message us.
Loading Phase
Peeps who load for three days experience less hunger and better losses. It takes three days for the drops to become effective. Loading prepares the body for changes. Loading is key to making this a success for all peeps. Those who do not load correctly experience hunger during the first three to four days of the diet. When you load, you are making sure your normal fat reserves are reasonably well stocked to prepare the drops to target abnormal fat. Successful Tips for the Diet
- Take the drops on your loading days.
- Eat to capacity on your loading days.
- Drink ½ your body weight in ounces of water (will decrease as you lose weight).
- Consume approved foods from the Original Protocol.
- Get a good night’s rest.
- Weigh daily while on the diet.
