P2 Crispy Baked Onion Rings

Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, sliced into rings
- 1 Alessi grissini breadstick
- 1 Tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or use a non-stick baking sheet.
Prepare coating:
Grind the grissini breadstick in a food processor or coffee grinder until it becomes a fine powder.
Place the powder in a small bowl.
Make batter:
In a bowl, combine milk, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Coat onion rings:
Place onion rings in the milk mixture and toss to coat completely.
Let sit for 2–3 minutes, then toss again.
Dip each ring individually into the grissini powder, rolling to coat evenly.
Bake:
Arrange rings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 6–7 minutes.
Flip carefully and bake another 6–7 minutes, until golden and crispy.
Serve immediately while hot and crisp.
