P3 Toasted Healthy Philly Cheesesteak

Ingredients

  • 4–5 oz lean shaved sirloin (or thin-sliced flank steak)
  • 1 tsp olive or avocado oil
  • ¼ green bell pepper, sliced
  • ¼ red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2–3 tbsp sliced onion
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 1 slice provolone (or reduced-fat provolone)
  • 2 slices Ezekiel 4:9® Sprouted Whole Grain Bread

Instructions

Toast the Bread
Lightly toast both slices until golden and firm. Set aside.

Cook Veggies
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté peppers and onions 3–4 minutes until tender. Remove and set aside.

Cook Steak
In the same pan, add steak. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes until just browned.

Melt Cheese
Return veggies to the pan, place provolone on top, cover for 1 minute until melted.

Assemble & Press
Spoon mixture onto one slice of toasted bread. Top with second slice.
Optional: Return sandwich to skillet and press lightly 1–2 minutes per side for a crispy, grilled finish.
